Maccabi Well-Come Program Highlights

Who can join the program?

The program is designed for individuals who legally reside in Israel but are not covered under the State Health Insurance Law, including:

  • Tourists, diplomats, foreign citizens, and international students.
  • Individuals not seeking residency status from the National Insurance Institute.
  • Family members of Israelis who have not obtained residency status.
  • Children brought to Israel for adoption who have not yet obtained an Israeli ID.
  • Israeli residents in the waiting period according to Section 58 of the State Health Insurance Law.


Program enrollment is without age restrictions but is subject to insurance considerations based on health status, and adherence to the program's terms outlined below:

Maccabi's program offers notable advantages over similar programs available in Israel, including:

  • Insurance for all ages.
  • Direct access to the HMO, without intermediaries.
  • Wide range of services: the most extensive service plan in Israel.
  • Extendible membership period: Program membership is not time-limited.
  • No coverage limit: Plan members will receive treatments for which they are eligible, without a coverage ceiling.
  • Rights preserved during stays abroad: Program members residing abroad for at least 3 consecutive months can retain their membership with a 75% discount, without a time constraint.
  • Supplementary insurance options: Program members can join the "Maccabi Sheli" and "Maccabi Zahav" supplementary insurance plans.
  • Long-term care (LTC) insurance option: Program members can join Maccabi's LTC insurance, subject to insurance company approval.

General notes

  • Maccabi reserves the right to periodically update or modify program details, including member rights.
  • An update or change as such will be effective immediately upon publication and will apply to all program members at that time, unless stated otherwise.
  • All provisions of the plan will uniformly apply to every member, irrespective of their previous health insurance fund, unless otherwise specified in the plan terms and conditions.
  • In addition to the plan regulations, members will be subject to Maccabi's terms and conditions.
